First Aid at Work Practical 3 days practical course

This course meets the full HSE requirements for the statutory FAW (First Aid at Work) Qualification. Learners will attend three 6 hours of practical trainer-led training days. This course can be delivered at your place of work in groups of up to 12 learners.

This course is ideally suited to workplaces where a risk assessment has identified the need for staff to possess appropriate first aid skills and knowledge.

This course is available at your place of work or at one of our UK wide training centres. under the guidance of our specialist First Aid at Work trainers. Using the latest training technique, it maximises learner recall and confidence and meets HSE regulations.

All higher risk workplaces that have identified a need for comprehensive first aid e.g. light engineering and assembly work, food processing, warehousing, extensive work with dangerous machinery or sharp instruments, construction, chemical manufacture.

Duration:

Two days of practical training with at home e-learning module

We can run the course at your place of work anywhere in the UK. In-House courses can be run at times to suit you. We recommend starting at approx. 9.00am as this will enable the course to finish at 16.30

Our open venue courses start promptly at 09.30 and finish at approx 16.30. Please arrive at least 15 mins prior to the start time.

As part of our environmental policy, all certificates will be available as a link and PDF download on completion. Our e-certificates are valid certification and accepted by all governing bodies and accreditations centres. Your e-certificate will have a unique QR Code that can be validated and verified via our website.

For our EFAW and FAW courses certificates are also available as credit card style certificates for use in a lanyard or wallet

Your certificate is valid for three years and meets the full HSE criteria

Essential info:

Please wear suitable clothes; loose-fitting trousers, leggings, or jeans. We advise against wearing a skirt or anything short that may leave you feeling uncomfortable during practical assessments.

Fit for Training: As work-based training, you will be assessed in all areas of content. The CPR/AED assessment requires learners to kneel on the floor next to the casualty.

Make sure to bring photo ID - our trainer will request sight of this for certification purposes.

Lunch: We suggest that all learners arrive with lunch and refreshments for the day as we cannot guarantee there will facilities to purchase refreshments. 

Parking: Available at most venues outside of Central London. It is the learner's responsibility to check any parking restrictions at the venue prior to leaving their car.

To meet the certification requirements all learners must be assessed whilst performing practical elements of the course, some of which will require you to kneel on the floor. Please ensure that you can physically fulfil these practical requirements.
