First Aid at Work Requalification - Blended 6hrs practical training + 6hrs eLearning

This is a requalification course and is only suitable for those who currently hold an in date FAW certificate. If your certificate has expired you are still able to attend this course, but the HSE recommends you attend the First Aid at Work (3 day course) if more than a month has elapsed since expiry. Please call us on 0330 223 2015 for further guidance.

Please note that the requalification course is an intensive course with very little practice time and designed for people whose certificate is still in date. If you do decide to attend the requalification course you will need to work at the pace of the course.

Candidates need a basic command of English (defined as Level 2). While we are often able to provide support to people who do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance. We may be able to make special arrangements if requested in advance. Please contact us if you need any guidance.

Who is this course most suitable for?

All higher risk workplaces that have identified a need for comprehensive first aid e.g. light engineering and assembly work, food processing, warehousing, extensive work with dangerous machinery or sharp instruments, construction, chemical manufacture.

Essential info:

Please wear suitable clothes; loose-fitting trousers, leggings, or jeans. We advise against wearing a skirt or anything short that may leave you feeling uncomfortable during practical assessments.

Fit for Training: As work-based training, you will be assessed in all areas of content to meet the certification requirements. The CPR/AED assessment requires learners to kneel on the floor next to the casualty. Please ensure that you can physically fulfil these practical requirements.
